Aether is On

Aether was started by Palmer West and Jonah Smith, two film producer friends in Los Angeles. They strive to fill the void in the sportswear market of outdoor garments that don’t sacrifice modern design and aesthetics.

When I received a package from them this summer I wasn’t sure what to make of it. It was hot as hell in Montana and the thought of wearing jackets seems revolting. So I put the package aside and stared at it for months. October rolled around and I knew it was time to crack the Aether case.

First one I reached for was the hooded Pinnacle Jacket

It feels like a soft shell and is one of the nicest i’ve ever seen or worn. Perfectly cut with great details. I haven’t been able to take it off.

The second one I tested is the Space Hoodie.

It’s like a sweatshirt made from Primaloft down. So comfortable, warm and light, it will be perfect for the emergency layer in the backpack or the knock around town jacket.

The other jacket I really like is the Summit. It’s a three layer piece that looks perfect for skiing.

I can’t wait to take these gems into the mountains. The snow is falling and so are the temperatures and the idea of skiing seems so much more appealing than cycling.

It’s a Miles day

Today it’s cold and rainy in Missoula, actually now it’s snowing. Cross race tonight and yellow lens in the jawbones (thanks blicks). Hot embrocation for sure. Need to get up for it, but all i can do is shuffle between my favorite Miles.

May 11th and October 26th, 1956 in Hackensack, New Jersey, before leaving Prestige Records for Columbia, Miles had to fulfill his contract. In two days the fellas busted out 4 albums and they are hands down my favorites. Cookin, Relaxin, Steamin, and Workin. If you don’t have these in your quiver you’re ill prepared for life.
