January is becoming the month of Steven Harrington here at Generic Surplus with the release of his desert boot next week. There will be a lot of stuff coming out but I wanted to let everyone know about the launch party at El Chavo in Los Feliz on the 24th. Carla and I just arrived in Shanghai to attend The Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair. This year it was directed by our dear friend from Milan Massimo Torrigiani. For lack of a better definition I think it’s kind of an Asian version of Art Basel. It starts today so I will post a report of the weeks events in a few days.
