The Finest English Walking Boot Known to Man

Established in 1857 James Taylor & Son of London has been perfecting the craft of traditional hand-made shoemaking resulting in boots and shoes of superior quality for nearly 150 years.   All that is fine and dandy, however, before you pick up the phone and order up a pair prepare to be humbled for a second.  These boots are 1500 pounds or a giant amount of US currency.  At the time of this writing that converts to $2,363.96.  My first car cost substantially less.  That said, these boots will outlive any vehicle on the road today.  So unless you have a large Dunhill pipe collection, a vintage Audemars Piguet around your wrist or Paul Klee on the wall I am sorry to have brought this to your attention.

Each hand-made boot takes roughly 3 months to complete and they highly recommend (though not entirely necessary ) that you stop into their shop on two occassions to take fitting.  So don’t forget to factor in a couple of flights as well.  Ouch!
