The web-site, Reference Library, is the brainchild of Andy Beach and as the name implies, is packed full of rare and useful reference for artists, fashion designers and history/nostalgia enthusiasts. Andy manages to cull though and find the lost gems of yesteryear. One stroll through RL and you will be hooked. Well, now you can meet Andy and actually see, touch and even purchase some of his incredible finds. Andy and I talk from time to time and he recently emailed a few images of what to expect this coming Friday at the Kiosk store in Soho.

Muji, opened their doors around a year ago in NYC but you can always order online. They have been in Japan for close to 30 years and sell over 4000 items. Their Soho store sort of reminds me of a very small Japanese style Ikea that also sells cool clothing and accessories. I am always quite impressed with their very understated, well designed goods at such a remarkable price. Plus, how can you argue with a company whose basic principle is, “To develop new simple products at reasonable prices by making the best use of materials while considering environmental issues.”
