Mary Has a Broken Arm
A few days ago I was making a joke about having to forge ford a river — referring the old-school video game Oregon Trail — and no one knew what I was talking about. How could you not know and love Oregon Trail? I have an emulator on my Mac for the sole purpose of playing the game once a year.
Everyone that grew up in the 80s loves the simplicity and nostalgia of the classic video games, but It wasn’t the game play alone that made these titles great, it was the all around visual simplicity. That simple design even extended to the packaging and cover designs. The website The Minus World had a cool take on classic Atari 2600 art direction and decided to redo some recent titles in that style and the results are fantastic. Press SPACE BAR to continue. The term is “ford” a river and it’s a crying shame that Oregon Trail references are going the way of the buffalo (which are an easy target and usually too much meat to bring back to the wagon).
Good catch. Thanks David.
I like to aim for squirrels but they make me waste to many bullets.
Just when I thought you couldn’t get cooler…I always use “ford the river.” I used it last weekend when talking about getting through the holidays as my hours at work are being cut.
I cannot believe i am seeing a screenshot of Oregon Trail. Wow. When I was in grade school we had one computer in the back of the classroom and those who finished their work first could play the game, which I loved…I may have even begged my mom for our first computer partly because of this game.
When you are in not good state and have no money to get out from that, you will have to receive the loan. Just because it would aid you unquestionably. I get small business loan every single year and feel myself OK because of that.
